Whomps’ Fortress is the second stage in the Super Mario 64 game. The main objective is to reach the top of the fortress and defeat the boss, Big Bob-omb. To progress through the stage, Mario must cross a bridge that initially blocks his path. This bridge can be lowered by activating a nearby switch.

There are two ways to get the bridge to fall in Whomps’ Fortress. The first way is to activate the switch located on the left side of the bridge. This can be done by either jumping on the switch or using Mario’s Ground Pound ability. The second way to get the bridge to fall is to collect the eight Red Coins located throughout the stage. Once all eight Red Coins have been collected, the bridge will automatically lower.
